Addressing the Unrecognized Burden of Paid and Unpaid Care in the MENA Region
The article highlights the undervaluation of paid and unpaid care work in the MENA region, disproportionately burdening women. It explores how social norms, fragile contexts, and inadequate labor regulations exacerbate these inequalities. The article calls for gender-sensitive policies, better data, and recognition of care work to achieve social justice.
