Protection and Work Conditions of Civil Society Workers in MENA: Research & Mapping

This research study aims to assess working conditions and labor practices within civil society organizations across Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Tunisia. This study will explore the impacts of donor dependency, precarious employment, and marginalized group representation on non-profit sector workers. Using a two-pronged approach, the study combines a literature review with field research, including focus group discussions and key informant interviews. The goal is to map current labor practices, assess social security access, and evaluate grievance mechanisms. Findings will be shared through working papers, a synthesis report, and academic articles, aiming to improve labor conditions in the MENA civil society sector.
