The Workshop on War Economy / Reconstruction Economy in Syria
On the 2nd of March 2019, the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship organized a workshop entitled “War Economy / Reconstruction Economy in Syria” as part of its project: “The Lay of the Land: A Social Mapping of the Daily Practices in Informality Amongst Syrian Displaced Communities in Lebanon”, funded by the Ford Foundation.

Report of the Regional Consultation Workshop on Urban Rights Activism in the Arab Region
The Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut convened, on 4 July 2019, a regional consultation workshop on “Urban Rights Activism” at the American University of Beirut. This workshop is a component of AI’s project on “Transnational Social Movements in the Arab Region”.

تصدع في جدار النظام: حركة أمناء وأفراد الشرطة كحركة اجتماعية
عقب تنحي الرئيس الأسبق حسني مبارك بعد اشتعال ثورة يناير 2011، بدأت حركة أمناء الشرطة بالتشكل والبروز على الساحة السياسية في مصر. نالت الحركة الكثير من الاهتمام الاعلًمي والسياسي، ولكنها لم تُدرس حتى الآن ولم يتم توثيق فعاليتها ومعاركها المختلفة. وهو ما تسعى هذه الورقة لدراسته.
