Abstract

This policy brief consolidates findings and recommendations from a regional multidisciplinary roundtable on conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV), held on May 5, 2025. The convening was organized by the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut, and brought together over 20 frontline practitioners, legal advocates, founders and/or directors of women’s rights organizations, INGOs and NGOs representatives, and humanitarian workers from across the SWANA region. Participants provided grounded insights shaped by direct engagement with CRSV prevention, documentation, response, and accountability frameworks.
