Asfari Institute signs an MoU with MIGS

The Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut and the Mediterranean Institute for Gender Studies (MIGS) affiliated with the University of Nicosia are proud to announce their partnership within the framework of an institutional memorandum of understanding.

This collaboration between the two like-minded institutions will include carrying out joint action-oriented research focusing on areas of common interests including forced migration, gender-based violence, civil society action, social movements, youth activism, conflict, and peacebuilding, as well as other areas of common interest. Both parties will also identify opportunities to collaborate in knowledge production, participation in regional and global spaces, as well as in diverse exchanges of learning and experience.

Both the Asfari Institute and MIGS are excited about this collaboration which brings together diverse expertise for the purpose of amplifying the work, impact on, and contribution to gender and women’s studies, gender equality, gender studies/women’s studies, and civil society action in the Mediterranean region.
