Arab Feminist Activism in Times of COVID-19: Challenges, Opportunities and Transformations

Project Description

This research project focuses on highlighting the positive and constructive work of feminist activism in the MENA region during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the aim of developing a comprehensive understanding of the modus operandi of feminist activists, the project sought to influence and shape activism in the region. Key objectives include building a regional database of feminist initiatives, creating a platform for knowledge sharing, documenting the narratives of feminist actors, and identifying global linkages with transnational feminist movements. By actively engaging in building regional networks, the project aims to contribute to the analysis of active citizenship in the MENA region and inspire similar efforts worldwide.
