Project Description
The Certificate in Influencing and Political Acumen is a specialized course designed targeting civil society organizations in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, and Palestine, developed by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the Asfari Foundation, and the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
The course aims to enhance participants’ political analysis and influencing skills through a blend of in-person sessions, online modules, peer learning, and a multimedia library. It addresses the need for civil society to refocus on advocacy and transformative change, moving beyond humanitarian responses. Participants will gain practical skills in leadership, networking, mobilization, policy analysis, and communication, along with critical thinking and political analysis abilities. The curriculum, rooted in regional context and case studies, culminates in the development of personalized influencing strategies, with top proposals eligible for funding from the Asfari Foundation.
