On March 6, 2023 the Asfari Institute for Civil Society and Citizenship, with The Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights and Muwatin Media Network, organized the hybrid event “Upholding Women’s Equal Citizenship in Nationality Laws in the MENA Region”. Civil society leaders from across the region discussed why gender-equal nationality laws are essential to women’s equal citizenship, as well as children’s rights, sustainable development, and realizing inclusive societies.
